TCFA NAMES OFFICERS, BOARD  

The Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA), during its 2003 Annual Convention this weekend in Amarillo, named the officers and directors who will lead the group for the coming year. 

Ernie Morales of Devine is chairman of the board; Charlie Sellers of Amarillo is chairman-elect; and John Gillcrist of Kansas City ,Mo. is vice chairman.

Cattle feeders elected to one-year terms on the board of directors are Jay Gray of Gonzales; Scott Hall of Hereford; James Henderson of Childress; Michael Kitten of Hereford; Ernie Morales of Devine; and Brad Stout of Amarillo.

Elected to two-year terms are Gary Gosdin of Irving; Howard Hinkle of Wichita Falls; Walter Lasley of Stratford; Johnny Scribner of Perryton; Mike Shafer of Hartley; and Charlie Sellers of Amarillo.

Directors chosen for three-year terms are Michael Bentley of Canadian; Monte Cluck of Gruver; John Gillcrist of Kansas City, Mo. ; Jason Hitch of Guymon, Okla. ; Scott Nelson of Dalhart; and Gene Scivally of Amarillo. In addition, the two immediate past chairmen serve as members of the board. They are Scott Keeling of Hereford and Paul Engler of Amarillo.

TCFA represents cattle feeders in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, an area that produces 30% of the nation's fed beef.
